ACTIVE TIMES/PACE: This varies! Sometimes I can tag during the work day, other times it's more likely to happen in the evening or on the weekends. PSL/meme tags tend to be on the slower side, and I won't lie, sometimes that means only tagging once a week or something. I will almost always pick up a thread, though, even if it takes me a while to get back to it.
BRACKETS/PROSE: I default to brackets, but I'm also totally fine with prose if that's your preference! Just let me know.

PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Fern will not know what to do with this in about 95% percent of cases. Best case scenario, she'll be baffled and will awkwardly pull away. Worst case scenario, she'll draw her knife on the person. This doesn't mean that people shouldn't try anyway, I think it's funny.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: She's much more comfortable with this. If someone attacks her, she's attacking back, and she's often the stab first, ask questions later type. On a friendlier note, she would be open to sparring with people if asked.
RELATIONSHIPS: Fern has never been in any sort of romantic or sexual relationship! I don't think it has ever even been on her mind, really. That being said, I'd love for her to fumble into something like this one day, she'll just be Hard Mode.
PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: She doesn't have any means of preventing people from poking around in her mind or reading her thoughts, so if you have a telepathic character, feel free to ask for any relevant info!
MAGICAL INFORMATION: Fern is under a magical curse thanks to some cannibalistic witches. Specifically, she had to give them her hope in exchange for her own life, but primarily for the lives of the children the hags were planning to eat. What this means is that she is more likely to simply lose hope in situations when compared to others. She'll believe that her circumstances are hopeless and she and her friends will never make it home — that ultimately, they'll always end up losing. She's managed to push through despite this with the help of others, but it is a magical thing that certain characters could pick up on!
MEDICAL INFORMATION: Not much going on here beyond her shifter physiology; she's in good physical health!
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Frankly, Fern has been through a lot and there isn't much that will get to her. She's not fond of anyone who treats her differently because she's a shifter, but also, she's used to it. Also, she has a pretty terrible view of vampires based on what she's been through, so... sorry if she is outright hostile to any vampire characters until she realizes that #notallvampires is a thing.

FOURTHWALLING: Fern is a Dungeons & Dragons character, so if other characters who are canonically D&D fans (like Stranger Things characters) want to pick up on some of the D&D lore or mechanics and be like "wait a sec," I'm fine with that! If they're going to go deep into telling Fern that her life might be a tabletop game, then we might need to steer around it — although tbh, she's experienced some pretty strange stuff in her own campaign (like finding a mysterious enchanted book about her own life or even viewing Strahd's past via entering a magical book), so we might be able to make it work. Please just make sure to discuss it with me!

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
VISUAL: As Fern is a shifter and can change into a more bestial wolf-like form (different from a werewolf as she stays mainly humanoid), she has mottled olive skin with markings that are suggestive of fur (and thin patches of fur in some places), gold wolf-like eyes, pointed fur-covered ears, a flat nose, fangs, and sharp claws. She has thick brown hair slightly past shoulder length with one braid near the front of her hairline. While shifters are similar to humans in height and build, they are more naturally lithe and flexible. She's 5'5"/165cm. Here's a visual reference. When she shifts, her limbs and spine lengthen slightly, her face becomes more bestial (snout extending), and her claws and fangs elongate. She also grows more fur. Think of it like a halfway-there shift for a typical werewolf.
AURAL: I don't actually have a voice PB for her, but I imagine she's got a husky voice, deeper than you might expect from looking at her. There might also be tiny hints of an accent since Common isn't her first language, but I think she's also worked really hard to eliminate her accent in order to blend in.
OLFACTORY: Fern spends a lot of the time on the road traveling and adventuring, so she's probably got something of a musky scent to her. She'll smell like someone who doesn't get to bathe all the time because she's on the road so often. Maybe she smells like wet dog sometimes? Idk. Also, leather (she has leather armor) and maybe a sort of metallic smell given that she has so many weapons on her at all times, including some that are silvered.
DEMEANOUR: Reserved and stoic, gives off strong "don't bother me or I might stab you" vibes (even though that's probably not actually the case unless she's truly threatened). Tends to hang at the periphery of places and keep a low profile; blending in and remaining unperceived is her preference. When she does engage, she's direct and to-the-point.
